HMD Global, the licensee of Nokia phones, continues to bring its own brand to the forefront. Accordingly, it introduced the HMD Fusion model that can be personalized with ‘Fusion Clothes’. The modularly developed device can be used with different apparatus.
What does HMD Fusion with modular design offer?
HMD Fusion has a design to support repair and different apparatus. The plastic-cased device features a 6.56-inch LCD display with a refresh rate of 90Hz. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
On the camera front, Fusion features a dual setup with a 108 Megapixel main and 2 Megapixel depth sensor. On the front, there is a 50 Megapixel selfie camera. HMD also highlighted EIS, RAW processing and night mode.
The most striking aspect of the smartphone is the modular design it offers through ‘Fusion Outfits’. Made of hard plastic, they can perform functions such as wireless charging, external protection and even a ring light. In other words, users can attach an apparatus according to their needs.
HMD said that it will offer its own attachments with the first devices it will put on sale. On the other hand, it said it will share an open-source 3D printing kit for users’ custom designs. This means that different attachments can be developed according to needs.
Other prominent features of Fusion include a 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support and a 2-year Android upgrade. It will take its place on the shelves with prices starting from 249 euros.
